主要从事核空气净化技术、环境影响评价方法学、环境污染防治技术等方面的研究与产品开发工作;提供建设项目和规划环境影响评价、环境保护竣工验收调查、核空气净化现场技术服务;提供碘吸附器、辐射屏蔽与噪声治理、废水处理等技术和设备。国内率先研制成功了用于去除放射性碘的活性炭吸附剂,为我国第一艘核潜艇研制了DL-150型碘吸附器;建立了国内第一套核级气相吸附剂活性炭性能检验装置;编制完成了多项核行业标准;是国内唯一可用多种方法对碘吸附器和高效过滤器进行现场试验的单位。两次荣获“全国优秀环评机构”荣誉称号。
       下设环境影响评价研究室、核电技术与产品研究室、水污染治理研究室和环境设备开发中心。

 The Department of Environmental Engineering and Technology (DEET) of China Institute for Radiation Protection (CIRP) is composed of Division of Environmental Impact Assessment, Division of Nuclear Power Technology and Product, Division of Water-contamination Treatment, and Development Center of Environmental Protection Equipment.
        DEET is mainly engaged in the research and development of nuclear air cleaning technology, methodology of environmental impact assessment, and prevention and treatment technology of environmental contamination. DEET provides technical services for environmental impact assessment of construction projects and programs, investigation for final  acceptance of environmental protection projects, and in situ performance testing of nuclear air cleaning systems. It also supplies iodine adsorbers, radiation shielding equipment, noise control technologies, and treatment technologies of waste water.
        In China, DEET takes the lead in developing impregnated activated carbon to remove various radioactive iodine, manufactured the DL-150 iodine adsorber for our first nuclear submarine, established the first set of performance testing equipment of nuclear-grade activated carbon gas phase sorbent, and established many standards for nuclear industry. DEET is the only institution which can provide technical services for in-situ performance testing of iodine adsorber and high efficiency particulate air filter (HEPA) with optional methods. DEET is also honored the “Domestic Excellent Institution  of Environmental Impact Assessment” twice.
